Our Philosophy of Ministry

Grünewald Guild was founded by Christians who embrace ecumenism and the gathering of all people.  The Guild holds as its foundation the shared Christian faith expressed in the creeds and living traditions of the Church and in the ongoing revelation of the Holy Scriptures. Following Jesus’ example of welcoming seekers of all journeys with open arms, we at the Grünewald Guild seek to embody our beliefs by living in faithfulness to God and to the values of God’s kingdom on earth, inviting others to do the same.  In encouraging an open and honest dialog with all who cross our path, we find common ground in which to mutually discover what God might reveal to us in art.  Participation in Guild programs inspires and enthuses many to return to their homes, communities, and places of work and worship to live more compassionately and authentically in service to a world desperately in need.  Grünewald Guild serves as a creative and innovative example to the world of the transformative power of art and the sacred in the context of community.
