Come join resident bread-making and brewmaster Scott Sinclair (winner of the Porter Division of the 2010 Cascade Brewers Cup) as he takes participants through the process of making sourdough bread and brewing beer.
This is an intensive 1-day workshop where we will discuss and practice making our own sourdough breads and brewing beer from scratch using the all-grain process. By the end of the workshop participants will produce a delicious pairing of sourdough bread and Fall English Ale — perfect for chilly November nights around the fire!
The workshop will begin promptly at 9 AM on Saturday and end around 6 PM in the evening. All experience levels welcome. Ages 21+
What should I bring to class?
Please bring a bottle or two of beer to share for our workshop beer tasting (either of a beer you’ve made yourself or a craft beer that you enjoy).
Since we’re using our kitchen for brewing, there won’t be regular lunch service during this workshop. Participants may choose to bring a sack lunch or visit the nearby Old Mill Cafe for lunch.
On-site housing is available this weekend. To make a reservation, please contact the office or use this online registration.
Please note that this workshop is offered concurrently with our new cold-process Soapmaking class.
