I saw old Autumn in the misty morn
Fall is here at the Grünewald Guild, with frost and rain and sentinal-like evergreens and the intense bursts of sunlight that seem all the more sweeter during the autumn months. As many have discovered over the last few weekends, it is a wonderful time to break away and visit us here in the eastern slopes of the Cascades.
We have several workshop opportunities available for those interested in spending more time in the studio or learning a new craft altogether:
Beer, Bread & Coffee (Nov. 2-4)
A Time to Work: A Retreat for Studio Artists (Nov. 2-16)
Life + Drawing (Nov. 9-11)
This month we are excited to launch our first traveling art exhibit, which will be on display at St. Luke's Episcopal church in Wenatchee, WA, from November 16 - December 16. The exhbit, titled In | Habit, celebrates the landscapes and environment of the Pacific Northwest and invites viewers to greater awareness of the natural world as a "thin place" where we may become particularly aware of the Divine presence. Grünewald Guild faculty artists are featured in the exhibit, which was curated by Ron Skylstad and Sarah Jane Gray. An opening reception will take place on Friday, Nov. 16, from 5-8 pm. All are invited to attend.
The exhibit will travel to a variety of regional churches over the coming year. A few exhibit exhibit dates are still available: if your congregation would like to host the exhibit, please contact Sarah Jane Gray at sarahjane@grunewaldguild.com
Join us as we take time to focus and experience together the season of Advent through the creative insights of Guild co-founder and artist Richard Caemmerer, an art project for all ages, playing in the snow and delicious food...all in the midst of the snow-laden evergreens of our campus. There are two weekends you can choose from (Dec. 7-9 or Dec. 14-16), each of which offers a different art project.
We desire that people experience a uniquely uplifting experience here at the Guild, a rejuvinating time for body, mind and spirit. In order to help facilitiate this, we have put together winter getaway packages for people to choose from during the months of January and February. These packages are designed specifically for church groups, clubs, groups of friends, etc. that would like to participate in a group retreat together. Pricing is all inclusive.
Package A - $200/person
