Guild September E-News Update

If it's magic

Then why can't it be everlasting

Like the sun that always shines

Like the poets in this rhyme

Like the galaxies in time

- Stevie Wonder, If It's Magic

We just completed a magical season of Sustenance this summer at the Guild, and one does wonder why can't it be everlasting.  Though as George MacDonald so eloquently said:

"Many feelings are just too good to last...but the virtue of a mood depends by no means on its immediate presence.  Like any other experience, it may be believed in, and in the absence which leaves the mind free to contemplate it, works even more good than in its presence."   -from Robert Falconer

As we contemplate the transformational experiences we've had together, we look with anticipation to the future, and the many magical things that God has in store for this magical place.  Our theme for 2016, Jubilee: Fling Wide the Doors reflects this expectancy, as we transition to new leadership and directions for the Guild.  Here are some ways that you can join with us in celebration:

Meet the Guild in Tacoma, October 10, 2-4pm, Christ Episcopal Church.

A free event to celebrate the induction of Jean Tudor as our newest Guild Master, a honor bestowed by the Guild Board of Trustees to an artist who uniquely exemplifies the mission of the Guild in their life & work.  This special afternoon will include appetizers from the produce of L'Arche Farm, local craft beer, our Traveling Art Exhibit, and a concert on Christ Church's amazing organ.  Invite friends and RSVP your intentions to dan@grunewaldguild.com.
