Scott Burnett was born and raised in New York's Ulster County, between the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson River. He was influenced by the Woodstock arts community, and immersed himself in metal and clay classes at Kingston High School. He earned a bachelor of music composition degree from Nyack College, then headed west to Seattle. Painting gradually returned as a form of personal soul-care in 2004. His art has since developed into a significant facet of his livelihood.
