Traditional Iconography Workshop
Class only: $350
This workshop will focus on the techniques and theories of Orthodox iconography using traditional methods and materials. Students will learn how to mix, make and apply egg tempera as wlel as learn some of the meditative practices that accompany this deep and spiritual tradition. We will also explore theories and concepts behind the images. Students will leave with a completed icon.
The workshop begins at 9 am on Friday morning and will conclude Sunday afternoon after the completion of the final layers of your icon. The full package price includes dinner and lodging the evening before, and breakfast the morning of, the workshop.

About the Instructor:
Mary Frances Dondelinger has been painting for the last 25 years. She studied and apprenticed with iconography master Fr.Gianluca Busi at San Leo Church in Italy outside of Bologna and Sr. Carolyn Miguel at the Monastery of St. Gertrude in central Idaho. Dondelinger's icons are in numerous public and private collections around the world.
