Dear Friends of Grunewald Guild:
The Board of Directors along with the Executive Directors have thoughtfully considered how to continue the Guild’s work faithfully in light of the COVID-19 outbreak. We have followed the guidance of state and local health officials to ensure that we are doing everything possible to support efforts to slow the spread of the virus.
The following decisions, while not easy, were made in the best interest of everyone in the community.
The Grunewald Guild campus is currently closed until May 4, at which time the situation will be re-evaluated.
Retreats: We are working with March, April and May retreat facilitators and rescheduling their retreats, when possible, to later in the year.
Spring Sacred Arts, April 26 – May 2, 2020: We are working with Spring Sacred Arts faculty and students to provide alternative offerings. Facilitators are working on a way to engage online with those students who would still like to hold a sacred creative space during that week.
Summer Program: We remain ready to host our programming this summer. We have communicated to students already registered that they have the option to transfer to a later class if that would give them peace of mind. We are in conversation with our faculty. We continue to encourage people to register for a summer class in anticipation of a joyous re-gathering of our community. Please know that if COVID-19 would prevent a class from happening or a student from attending, there are three options available regarding the registration deposit: (1) It could be applied to a future Guild class or event, (2) It could be transferred to another person for a Guild class, or (3) It could be donated to the Guild as a way to help offset the losses of revenue being experienced.
At this time, we are committing to make decisions at least four weeks in advance of our programming. We will communicate any changes specifically impacting students and faculty by email. Refer to our website, https://grunewaldguild.com/, for the most current information on classes and campus status.
To change your class registration, gift your registration deposit to another person or make it a donation to the Guild, please contact Linda at [email protected] or call 509-763-3693.
Yours in this mission of art, faith and community,
Jim and Vonda Drees
