Join Sacred Arts Leader and SoulCollage® Facilitator Laurie Rudel for the simple, intuitive and creative process known as SoulCollage®.
Using glue, scissors, found images, and pre-cut mat board we’ll begin to create a “deck” of SoulCollage cards.
Seena B. Frost, the founder SoulCollage, describes the process this way: “SoulCollage® is a creative and satisfying collage process. You make your own deck of cards—each collage card representing one aspect of your personality or Soul. Use the cards intuitively to answer life’s questions and participate in self-discovery. Joyfully deepen your understanding of the relationships between your personality parts, you and your family/community/world, and you and your dreams, symbols, and Spirit.”
The SoulCollage® process can be used as a tool for reflection and meditation. In each session there will be time to reflect on our creative process and learn from one another. We’ll share practical and imaginative ways to help us make room in our hearts for self discovery.
All experience levels welcome, including beginners. Ages 18+
What will class time be like? Will I need to work outside of class?
In class we will work with a process of intuitive collage to create SoulCollage Cards. In addition we will also gain an understanding of the SoulCollage process as a tool for reflection and meditation. In each session we’ll have time to reflect on our creative process and learn from one another.
When is class time?
9:45am – 12:45pm (Pacific Time), Monday through Friday, August 3-7, via Zoom
Laurie is available for one-on-one conversations outside of class time.
What can I expect to create?
Each participant will have the opportunity to create up to (12) 5” x 8” SoulCollage cards. Each card will be an intuitive reflection of some aspect of our soul.
Laurie will order the mat board and “card frames” from SoulCollage. She will drop-off or mail these supplies to each student. This will be covered by a $10 supply fee.
Please have on hand:
- a glue stick or rubber cement are the easiest glues to work with
- 5″ precision scissors (Cutter Bee or Fiskar’s are good choices, Joann’s and Michaels carries them)
- old magazines and calendars to cut up (ask friends to save them for you!)
Helpful but not necessary:
- larger scissors
- a straight edge X-acto knife with additional blades
*If you are ordering supplies online, please place your order as soon as you can. Shipping times for art supplies have expanded considerably. In order to give Laurie time to ship the mat board and “card frames”, please register by 7/13.
