Previous students say: “Rondall Reynoso offers a supportive atmosphere… and breaks down the technical elements without losing the artistic exploration and respects the individual artists’ interests and backgrounds. He makes it easy to learn the process and is supportive of each artist’s style and aesthetic.”
Express yourself through abstract or naturalistic imagery while learning essential techniques for etching and drypoint printmaking. We will learn how to produce a traditional intaglio print. All experience levels welcome. Ages 14+
What will class time be like? Will I need to work outside of class?
This course will begin each day with a basic introduction to etching and drypoint. The majority of class will be spent developing the print and working with one-on-one from the instructor. All projects can be completed in the class time, but students are welcome and encouraged to work outside of class if they so choose.
Here’s a brief video on 2015’s Old School Printing: Drypointing and Etching:
We will be producing a small edition (3-5) of one print. Some students may be able to complete a second print edition.
