I have taught 4-12-Harness weaving for over 40 years. I taught beginning to MFA level weaving for 14 years at Valparaiso University, and have taught individual guilds, regional and national conferences across the country. In 1987, I was given the national award for teaching by Handweavers Guild of America. I have had numerous articles published in national weaving magazines, and my book, The Technique of Freeform Design, continues to sell. I have taught several summers at Grunewald, primarily during the early years before I worked full-time. My name then was Nancy M Searles. You can refer to my website at "nancymarshweaver".
Nancy has taught weaving for close to 50 years. She taught beginner to MFA level weaving at Valparaiso University for 13 years, and has taught a wide variety of weaving topics at many regional conferences, and at Convergence. She also has taught at Grunewald Guild numerous times. Nancy developed an approach to weaving freeform designs without a pick-up stick, and published a book, The Technique of Freeform Design, which continues to be offered through the Schacht Spindle Co under the name Nancy M Searles.
