Richard co-founded the Guild with his wife Liz in 1980, after having chaired the Art Department at Valparaiso University and designed hundreds of worship spaces around the world.

Richard left this life peacefully on February 16, 2016 with his family at his side. His vision for the church, the Guild, and his prolific artwork continue to inspire people all over the world.
