Originally from Montreal, Canada, Rick Szeliski moved to Seattle in 1995 and has spent the last (almost) forty years in computer science research and teaching, working for large technology companies in the area. He began taking summer art classes at the Grünewald Guild in 2013, starting with stained glass mosaic and then moving on to ceramics, leaded and foiled stained glass, and a variety of other media. These classes have provided a treasured respite from technical work and a wonderful source of inspiration.
Rick joined the Grünewald Guild Board in 2021 and currently serves as the Board Secretary.
